This year fifty percent of the students have taken advantage of these modern teaching methods. Because of the interest generated, the Business Department has increased by about one third over preceding years. IMC, or Resource Center, is one of the most widely used places at East. With over 800 students taking advantage of the 16,000 books, magazines, films, and tapes daily, not only do some students find the library a meeting place, but a lot of research work is also accomplished. Without the competent help of the East High Counseling Department, confusion would reign supreme among the student body. Educational planning is proiected in student registration, schedule changes and various testing functions. Some students even find a lasting friendship in the counseling department.
