AA Juniors Discuss Thoreau's Philosophy English is the center of gravity to which all subjects are related. This vital part of East High School life is a varied and comprehensive program with a place for each student. Each individual has a place and rate of progress, Whether it be Senior AA English or the Freshman C level. Bejarano Spanish, B.A. - A.S.U. class. Foreign languages, of increasing importance in the modern world, is offered among East High's curriculum. Students could choose from several different languages, including Spanish, Latin, French, and German. Students learned to read and Write the language and, excepting Latin which is a written language, to use it in conversation. As they studied the language, students also learned about the cultural background and customs.
