Y-Teens The Touchdown Toddle began a whirl of events for the Eserlo Y-Teens. The teature of the year was the Centennial Ball celebrating the one hun- dreth anniversary of the Y.W.C.A. Pat Hertz reigned as queen of all city schools. The traditional Sweetheart Prom was at the Y.W.C.A. and the All City Spring Prom was held at Idora Park. Officers were: Margie McKenna, president: Frances Strollo, vice-presi- dent: Irene Navarro, secretary: and Mary Ann Iacobs, treasurer. Identification on page seventy-eight. N. H. S. Elected on the basis of character, leadership, scholarship, and service, 46 members of National Honor Society worked well under the able direction of advisor Miss Alice Weber and officers Grant Strickland, president, Mary Ann Iacobs, vice-president, Irene Wal, secretary, and Tom Temelkoff, treas- UIBI. Koins for Korea, the main project for N. H. S., was strictly a student donation for war-stricken Korean children. The Echo Staff Reporting, writing copy and heads, typing, laying out pages, and espe- cially meeting the deadline amounts to work, but to the Echo Staff, under the advisorship of Miss Ieannette Clarke, this was all in a year's work.
