Forward This year of our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty- one, marks the silver anniversary of East High School dedicated in the year of our Lord, nineteen hundred and twenty-six, to give instruction, advice and understanding to students of the East side of every color, race, and creed seeking an education preparatory to becoming better informed and more qualified citizens and voters of these, our United States. Throughout this Ianus, your year book, we have endeavored to record events and persons associated with you in your life here at East High, so that in years to come, you may look back with pride at your part in making this, the school that East built. We gratefully acknowledge and salute Mr. I. W. Smith, East's first principal, who took such warm in- terest in the development of the school that he helped East build, and to Mr. E. E. Fell, who has so ably succeeded him.
