Efocewmd Refqectionx are memoriex of the heart, memories held dear by all who leave EaJt High. Throughout the yearx, at we each go our separate wayx, thexe memoriex will grow in meaning. The 1964 Eaxtonian Stafjfhay attempted to record an unhrgettable year, both from a perfonal and national view- point, AJ the Jchool year began, we were watching with intente interext the Jtruggle of a race to gain their rightx. Somehow, concern jhr thix wax loft in the Hurry of preparation hr the hotball seayon and homecoming. The league .reason drew to a clo5e and we pauxed juJt long enough to preparehr the Outburxt. The long awaited nightf arrived - Novem- ber 22-23 - and the :how played to record crowdy. But hw noticed the crowd,' no one really seemed to care. A good man had fallen, many wept openly. The rext of the year wax not .ro dramatic, but each Jtudent faced the Jame joyt and Jorrowy in his perfonal lik that thote behre him had faced. We are told that high school can Jtrengthen 0ne'5 character comiderably. However, we would lilee to think that 1963-64 haf brought about a more projhund effect on each of uf - that perhapf we have come to learn a little more underxtanding and hindnem.
