ALWAYS WORKING for the welfare of the school and community are the group of citizens who comprise the Parent-Teacher Association. Like any organization a good deal of time is consumed by meetings, but they also back such activities as Open House, teen-town, and the Fairyland picnic. Outstanding on the P.T.A. calendar are the fall and spring potlucks. At these evening meetings, husbands and wives both take part in the activities. Founders' Day was marked this year with a talk by Mr. C. H. Nowlin, former East principal, and with a skit by Miss Marie Burrus' senior English students. Bark Roux' Mrs. W. M.
