How short a time it seems since he was entering East High School for the first time, a timid freshman. And now, with the receipt of a diploma, life will cease to be a round of classes, ball games, dates, home- work, and family and friends. There is the problem of choosing a career, of taking one's place in society as an adult, and of becoming a citizen of the community. Shown in the picture are seniors from East who are preparing for the future by participa- tion in the C.O.li. program. They are gathered around Mr. V. H. Powell, employment manager, who is in charge of personnel at Sears, Roebuck and Company.
