Congratulations, boys!” The entire school echoes Coach Sebastian as he shakes hands with Dale Roark and Dan Mathis, city All-Stars in basketball. DL “Big 3our”WaL Seaion Coach Roy Brown, head coach at East High, has been football and track coach since 1938. In that length of time he has had one championship in football and second place for four years. As track mentor, he has had three seconds, a first in the Big Six, and his boys romped home with the first-place trophy in the Big Seven this year. He is considered by other coaches as one of the most sportsmanlike in the city. Coach Gene Sebastian, former graduate and athletic star of East, returned to his Alma Mater to coach the 1947 basketball team. His 1948 team just missed the interscholastic championship.
