In Appreciation MR. ANTONE ERDMANN We, the class of '63, express our sincere appreciation to a retiring faculty member, Mr. Antone Erdmann. For the deep, personal interest that Mr. Erdmann has shown to each student, as well as for his concern in the improvement of our school, we are grateful. An alumnus of West High School 119173, Mr. Erdmann attended Valparaiso University. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Norbert College. Then for a ten year period he taught in a South Dakota school sys- tern. Mr. Erdmann has been at East for almost two decades, during which time he has selilessly devoted his talents in order that we might gain a greater understanding and an appreciation of the world of nature and the glorious out-of-doors. He has gone beyond the call of duty in the varied services he has rendered to East. As an educator he has made himself esteemed for his fairness in judgements, and he is widely respected for his wise council and moral teachings. For all of this, we thank Mr. Erdmann. ln offering this appreciation and gratitude, we speak also for an in- debted alumni, who, with us, desire to extend to Mr. Erdmann our best wishes for a long and happy retirement.
