as 9. 4.4 It was graduation nights the seniors of East High School marched with dignity and pride to the stage to receive long-waited diplomas: the audience of friends and rela- tives was hushed and silent ..... The days of high school life are finished: a feeling of sadness envelops our seniors as they close the doors of East High School behind them. But a word of Promise greets them. It is with a mixture of anticipation and excitement that these young adults begin a new life: there is determination in their faces, for a great challenge is before them. How will they fare? It is a question that must go unanswered. But, the possibilities of success are wonderful. These youths have the heritage of independence and freedom of educations and they have realized the enormity of this gift. They have utilized these freedoms and devel- oped their talents to the greatest degree. The advantages of school life have not been wasted by them. , Yes, the preparation for this graduation day has proved extensive. But our seniors are ready. The KEY to the future has passed into their hands. 'U 1
