After spending an entire year attending meetings, and meeting deadlines, the Birch Log Staff 'is proud and happy to present your 1956 annual. This year's Log has been crammed full of pictures and stories of the outstanding events and activities which have taken place during the past year. This year's staff was headed by Dorothy Black- topp, the editor-in-chief. Mr. Jones was the general adviser with Mrs. Orlick and Mr. Pulford advising business and photography respectively. The process of preparing our annual went some- thing like this. The first meetings were held early last fall to choose a theme for the Birch Log. Next the process of drawing dummy, or page plans, and preparing the page envelopes was completed. At the last the actual copy was written and the pictures were taken. When this was finally finished and sent to the printer, the staff was able to take it easy and eagerly await the day' when it would see the annuals and the result of all its work. This just about sums up the activities that went on in preparing this year's Birch Log, and now the staff proudly presents the finished product hoping that you, the students, will enioy your annual yearbook as much as we enjoyed working on it.
