Junior High Student Council The iunior high student council has had a very busy year, starting off with a recognition assembly in the fall. The assembly gave certificates of re- cognition to the students who are in the various activities around school, such as student directors, fable monitors, club presidents and many others. The ,Council also sponsored a dance, the annual talent show and took the leading part in the maga- zine drive which brought in over three thousand dol- lars in sales in the iunior high. This year East played host to the city-wide Junior High Student Council Convention and wound up the year's activi- ties with the awarding of the traditional bronze, sil- ver and gold E's at the E Day assembly. Senior High Student Council Executive Committee Mr. Alaspa, K. Mitchell, M. Hinder- man, C. Clark To further democracy in the school and strive for better relations between the faculty and the student body are the main purposes of the Student Council. This year the students elected Mark Hinderman president, Keith Mitchell, vice-presi- dent, and Cynthia Clark, secretary. Under the advisorship of Mr. Alaspa and Mr. Williams they have led the student council through another successful year. One of the many proiects undertaken by the council was a trip taken by Cynthia and Mark to the annual state Student Council Convention in Mankato, Minnesota.
