Wininger, Bible, and Million, Miss Gladys Million and Mr. B.A. Bible, veteran mathematics teachers, discuss with student instructor, David Wininger, the in- tricacies of mathematics. Mr. Wininger taught Mr. Bible's mathematics classes while the latter was acting principal. After many years of successful teaching, Miss Million is probably telling him of the re- wards of mathematics instruction. Kelly, Dalton, and Markelonis Mrs. Jessie Kelly, health teacher, explains to Miss Retha Dalton and Mr. James Markelonis, physical education teachers, that exercises alone are not enough to keep in good health. Miss Dalton and Mr. Markelonis put us through strenuous train- ing to improve our muscles and co-ordina- tion, Mrs. Kelly teaches us the principles of good health and prescribes remedies for our sore muscles. Polston, Browning, and Bennett Mr. Browning is expounding on the vacuum chamber that will boil water at room tem- perature. Mr. Palston seems to understand it perfectly, and Mrs. Christine Bennett, who teaches biology, is quite fascinated, East High is very fortunate to have the out- standing science department that it has and greatly appreciates having these competent teachers.

LeSueur, Wilson, and Blackett Mr. Robert LeSueur, mechanical drawing cmd shop teacher, and Mr. Leslie Wilson, civics teacher and Blue and Gray sponsor, admire the paintings in Mrs. Patti Black- ett's art class, These three teachers add the glow of youth to our faculty and are very popular among the students. Mrs. Potts keeps Latin from being a dead language, Mrs. Acuff is an authority on several languages, and Miss Herndon keeps her iunior English students actively inter- ested in American literature with her novel displays. J I 1 . l. ...imma -ee-. Bird, and Neubert Miss Bird and Miss Neubert compare meth- ods of teaching American History. They are using Muzzey's History of Our Country plus supplementary material. Both of these ver- satile teachers ore liked by all the students for their friendly, understanding personal- ities.
