Every morning while we were yawning our way into another day the ladies in the lunchroom were busily preparing the noon- day meal. When finished with the preparation of the lunch, the ladies dug in behind the counters and readied themselves for the hungry hordes of class weary students. The warmth and cleanliness of the buildings, important and generally unrecognized comforts provided by our custodians. 'lfFulfilling the needs of hungry students this years cafeteria staff are, Left to Right, Bessie Smith, Eula Case, Mabel justice, Callie Iohn- son, and Ruth Ward. 2fKenny Walker provides many necessary services for the school. 3fThe man everyone turns to for heat on a cold day or light when the bulb is blown is Mr. Charles Williams. 4!Mrs. Faye Chandler helps to fulfill the teachers needs as well as the students. ,, l....... As the school day officially began, teachers and students bombarded the office with excuses, tardies, and schedule changes. Dr. Ledbetter and his staff calmly faced all calamities that arose. Teachers and students, utilizing the office as neutral ground for airing complaints, found workable solutions. Administrationf19

l l Preparation for a life expanding into the future ... The Business Department took into its hands the responsibility of instructing students in skills to carry them into a better tomorrow. Students in Typing I found themselves learning the keyboard and attempting to keep in step while time writing. Typing Il students, with the keyboard now second nature to their mind and hands, typed their days away. Students in office practice took with them l the art of answering the phone, , using office machinery, and filing. 1fHeIping students expand their horizons into a better tomorrow are business teachers Mrs. Carolyn Hawkins, Mrs. Dorothy Meader, Mrs. Brenda Gray, and Mrs. Margaret Nichol- son. 2fKay Stepp questions a mistake made by the slip of a finger. 3!Diane Stepp smirks at even the thought of having to do a timed writing.
