The reward of a thing well done is to have done it. RALPH WALDO EMERSON Here at East we are very fortunate to have an excellent club system in which there is at least one club that almost every student is interested in joining. Our student council is reputed to be one of the best student governments in the state, for the group makes its own decisions and works closely with the administra- tion and the Board of Education. Great improvements have been made in our music department, and more and more students are taking part in various musical activities each year. In taking an active part in these extra-curricular activities, we find that our efforts and achievements are often rewarded by some type of pin or medal: yet, the real value of a project well done comes from participation. 16 fir . fm
