A volunteer Marching band was also formed and took part in Western Michigan university's homecoming festivities where it was honored with a second place award. The band also presented colorful half-time shows at the football games and marched in the Veter- ans and Memorial day parades. Soloists who contributed their talents to the two scheduled concerts were: Ron Rose, french horni Sharon Chabot, flute: Dave Regan, trumpet: and Debra Hemme, oboe. Performing as a trombone trio were Richard Bichel, Ken Barrand, and Gary Graham. With the passage of the millage proposal in January, the Wind Ensemble is scheduled for reinstatement next year, providing two bands as in past years. 'fi 25
