The two act comedy-satire directed by lVlr. Raymond E. Beard, utilized two sets, one a forest, and the second the entrance to the colosseum in Rome. Leading roles were portrayed by William Osburn as Androcles, a sometimes sorcerer and Christian, who befriends a lion played by James Seppeyg Rhonda Long, the wife of Androcles: Daniel St. Laurent, the emperor: Greg Zurro, a disturbed gladiator: Judy Barich, a Christian of high birth, and Jon Sprecher, a Roman captain. Eva Schumacher served as student director with Nancy Schaible, stage manager, and Michael Nloody, technical director. Student crews constructed the sets, designed and sewed most of the costumes including the lion's head. 18 COSTUMES and sets added to the mood of the play.
