Dedicated to Rev. Thomas E. Wilson
His ministry led him to pastorates in North Carolina and New York: to public school
classrooms in Tennessee: to the campus of West Coast Bible College and in 1977 to the
campus of East Coast Bible College. Even though he was only with us for five years,
Brother Wilson was quickly recognized as a man of conviction which gave us strength
and guidance. Because of his devoted service the student body dedicates this yearbook
to Rev. Thomas E. Wilson.

Somewhere God has a place for you,
That is all your own,
Somewhere is work that your hand can do
And yours alone.
Whether afar over land and sea,
Or close at your door, may the duty be,
It calls for your service full and free!
Take your place.
Somewhere the world has a desert spot,
Your toil might fill,
Somewhere a life whose loveless lot,
Your love might fill.
If the place that waits be high or low,
Question not, cry not- onward go!!
The Lord's battle needs every blow-
Take Your Place.

The 1981-82 volleyball team was dominated by Freshmen. There were only two upperclassmen to
return this season. Despite the lack of experienced players the team had a great season. The closing re
cord was 12 wins and 15 losses. Our team has come a long way and they are expecting a better sea-
son next year. Good luck Lady Cavaliers!

Several factors contributed to E.C.B.C. having a great ball team this year. One of these was the 1981
1982 Cheerleading Squad. These girls were very busy promoting school spirit with various activities such
pep rallies, a spirit booth l for which they won first prize in the Campus Day booth contestl, secret pals
and sweeties, purchasing boutinierres for the S.C.A.C. tournament, selling spirit pins, yell-a-phones, pom-
poms, and a variety of other activities. Many hours of hard work and practice were put in by each mem-
ber of the squad. It has not always been easy to find time for all they have been called upon to do but
through sacrifice and dedicated service they have made this year a little better for all of us. Their motto
"We Love Our Team" will be a fond memory for us in years to come. The members of the Equestrian
staff, as well as the rest of the student body, would like to say "We Love Our Cheerleaders."

Mr. Eddy Wilson
Dayspring
Both Dayspring and Covenant
are promotional touring groups for
East Coast. Their heaviest
schedule is during the summer
months. They sing in youth
camps, camp meetings, churches,
and youth rallies up and down
the eastern seaboard and through-
out the Mississippi Valley. Many
East Coast students first heard of
E.C.B.C. through their ministry in
song.

CMUUCM Of GOD
The words of Daniel Webster speak to the
purpose and program oi Church of God ed-
ucation. l-ie said, "lt we work upon marble, it
will perishg if on brass, time will eftace itg it we
rear temples, they will crumble into dust. but if
we work upon immortal minds, and imbue them
with principles, with the just fear of God and
love of our tellowmen, we engrave on those
tablets something that will brighten to all eterni-
ty." Through its colleges, the Church seeks to
provide that proper combination ot teaching
from the sciences, from the arts and from the
Christian ethic. We salute those young persons
who are dedicating themselves to this noble
pursuit.
