They accomplished this by collecting tax stamps and sponsoring dances after home basketball games. Two sophomore-sponsored square dances during the year were pronounced great successes also. Guiding lights for these projects were the class officers: Walter Walker, president: Gene Kandel. vice-president; Shirley Breckbill, secretary; and Delores Moretta. treasurer. For their money making schemes, the freshmen collected' tax stamps and the losing side had a party for the winning side. The party was held on October 15, 1951.
