JUNIOR CLASS With Mr. Beitzel and Mr. Schafer as sponsors, the class of '52 advanced to the seventh grade. During the year they held Christmas and Valentine parties. As eighth graders, under the direction of Miss Robertson and Mr. Schreck, the class collected tax stamps and held a Halloween Party. As Freshmen they were under the guidance of Mr. Mensch, Miss Behm and Miss Shook. During the sophomore year, under the sponsorship of Mrs. Fogle and Miss Sarbaugh, they collected tax stamps and held a party for the winning side. Now as Juniors with Mrs. Fogle as their sponsor, they elected Glen Motts, president, Madalyn Royer, vice president, Mary Ann Calendine, secretaryg and Marianne Doll, treas- urer. They sold refreshments at basketball games and had a magazine and tax stamp drive. They presented the play Clementine with Mrs. Fogle as director. They honored the Seniors with the annual Junior-Senior Banquet on May 12, 1951 at the Alliance Country Club. I24l

SOPHOMORE CLASS The sophomore class is proud of its scholastic record and hopes to maintain it. There are ten members in the National Honor Society, and the class is well represented in other clubs. The essays of Carmen Mathis, Betty Jean Linhart, and Howard Mark were submitted in the American Legion Essay Contest. The annual Christmas Party held on December 19, was centered around the snow queen, who was Jo Ann Eddy. Her attendants were Wanda Bland, Patricia Gerer, Evelyn Oberly, and Yvonne Veit. They were chosen by a vote of the class. Round and square dancing, and a gift exchange furnished the evening's entertainment. The sophomore class wishes to thank Mrs. Ryder and Mrs. Norris, the sponsors, for their special guidance throughout the year. l25l
