We are going to brag a little, of course, because prophecies very seldom come true. This class of 1951 will turn out some great Amer- icans, we prophesy. Watch Broadway, radio, and television. Members of our class are very talented. History? We are going to turn out at least one far above average historian. But, most important, we'll turn out proud citizens. Medicine? We will have plenty of surgeons who will be men of character and keen ability. We could give the names but they'll make good without a boost from here. Science? The world will know all it needs to about cancer, polio, and arthritis in a few years, because we have some great scientists coming up. Home Economics? Some of the world's finest dress designers and best home makers will be graduated this year. Law? Perhaps there will be one or two in the supreme court. These men will safeguard the rights of their fellow men. Education? We are going to turn out many teachers and professors, who will devote themselves to one of the most important professions in our country, the education of future generations. Engineering? A field we can safely enter. Engi- neers are the builders and designers of tomorrow. Journalism? We are in! Our journalists will keep the world up on all happenings. Business? We will turn out a few executives and many small business men. Industry? There will be a few capitalists and many employees, who will not shirk but give a full measure of service. Theater? We'll have a great supply of actors and actresses. There may be an Angie, a Jack, or even a Tony, We could go on and on but whatever the class of 1951 gives to life in any field, the most important thing is being a good citizen. This is more im- portant than Broadway or Television. There may be a few disappointments but we hope the assets will outnumber the liabilities. Marilyn Heakin Ass't.
