Betty and Bobby Blade Honors Bestowed on Leslynn and Sterllng Leslynn Lockhart This year the students of East High chose Leslynn Lockhart for the high honor of Betty Blade. Leslynn's long record of service to the school provided proof of her outstanding qualifications. Since her freshman year, she has been an active member of Rally Club and the class councils. This year she was the Head Varsity Song Leader, a member of the Executive Council, and the Sounding Board. Throughout high school, Leslynn par- ticipated in the activities of Girl's League and served her senior year as Welfare Chairman. She was also treasurer of the Potenti's Tri-Hy-Y. One of the most wonderful personalities on campus, Leslynn was known to everyone and truly symbolized the ideal girl. Sterling Endsley Sterling Endsley, a truly outstanding senior, was chosen to be Bobby Blade this year. An'all-round sports- man, Sterling lettered in Varsity football, basketball, and baseball. He was the leading rusher this year, a fact that was significant in our victorious football sea- son and he won the Most Outstanding Player Award for Varsity football this year. Sterling also played All- City football and won the Most Valuable Player Award for B class. Although devoted to sports, Sterling found time to be active in the Senior Class Council, IRC, and Young Life. Planning to attend Oregon State next year, he said he would miss all his friends and the good times he had at East High. 22
