Led by Coach Cliff Robert, East's V958 track team kept on rolling over its opponents. Since last losing a dual meet to Elgin back in IQ47, the Tom- cats have stretched their undefeated string to 57. East also won the Ottawa Invitational, the City Relays, the Kane County for the seventh consecu- ive year, the District and placed third in the Big Eight. East's success was due directly to a well- balanced teamg this can be testified to by East's District win, in which they did not win a single first.
