Carved and gum ladened be- fore Christmas vacation, the study hall desks came back shining and smooth after a weelc's hard work of scraping, sanding, and refinishing, done by a special committee appointed by the Council. Keeping order in the cafeteria line, organizing traflic on the stairways, and providing entertaining pep convos are just a few of the other responsibil- ities which are taken care of by the student gov- ernment. Meeting twice a month, the Student Council debated the many complex problems of the school. Student Councils 229 project OFFICERS D. Beane, president: T. Wrmrliind, secre- tary: J.
