Sponish Club The Spanish Club dedicated its 1968-69 program to furthering the study of the Spanish culture and language. Spanish Club's main project was their Spanish fiesta for the Thunderbird Dinner. The Fiesta included a pinata, Spanish music, an art exhibit, and cultural displays. Other projects included a Christmas party, featuring Spanish food, and Spanish decorations, and a spring banquet opened to the members and their families. Interest in Spanish culture is shown here by Dennis Goff, student council representative, Mona Saupe, secretary-treasurer, Debra Sheppard, vice-president, and Margo Bell, president. , W ,, n KYB. GAA The purpose of the Girls' Athletic Association was to teach sportsmanship and to encourage the spirit of fair play. Activities of the 1968-69 season included basketball, volleyball, and badminton playdays. GAA also refer- eed junior high volleyball games. An important event was the popular Powderpuff Football game held during the Thunderbird Dinner. GAA finished the year with the Mother-Daughter Banquet at which participation awards were given. 1,1 A f..
