The contest closed with a party given by the team with the least members. A joint meeting with the high school boys was held in October. The program consisted of a skit and discussion on family problems, The annual Mother and Daughter banquet was held November 20th with the theme of The House I Live In. Mr. Joe Moore of Des Moines was the speaker. We celebrated Christmas by going caroling and returning to the school for a gift exchange and party, As Christmas service projects, we made favors for a nursing home and wreaths for each church in Earlham, Other activities include selling candy and apples at basketball games, building a float for the homecoming parade, participating in several National Y-Teen projects, sponsoring a high school dance, and sending delegates to Y-Teen summer conference. One of our members, Lilah Bennett, was elected to the State Y-Teen Cabinet and helped to plan the 1955 Summer Conference, Compliments of IOWA POWER 8: LIGHT COMPANY l YBI, anafh 5.
