SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY It is September once more, and I wonder what new faces I'll see going by my win- dow on Monday morning. It's been forty years since 1 started my Senior year in Eagle High School, I think. I wonder if the rest of my classmates are thinking of the same thing wherever they are. Of course they're known world-wide as they've all had com- plete success. It's easy to look in the morning paper and see just what is happening to every one of them. Let's see now— Why, here is George Smith in the headlines as having drawn up a treaty which makes all the nations in the world friendly allies so there will be no more war. George will probably get the Nobel Prize for this fine work. Shirley Chambers, according to the society editor, is going to give a small $500, 000 party for close friends of hers and her husband's. Shirley, the leading socialite in New York, is America's foremost authority on etiquette, beauty and charm, and has several beauty schools throughout America and Europe which bear her name. Here is an article of great importance concerning Bob Stanley, the famous nuclear scientist. It seems that while Bob was working at his hobby of archaeology on his summer vacation, he discovered nearly all of the missing link between man and mon- keys. He was always trying to attain this goal. Jim Ross, wealthy cattle owner and oil man. now Secretary of Agriculture in the President's Cabinet says that for this year farmers can enjoy high prices on everything without any supports, and there will be no surplus foodstuffs. Jim’s program has put agriculture on the firm foundation which it has needed for so long. On the next page is a picture of a streamlined automobile which has a smash-proof glass body, features plastic tires which never wear out and a motor which is trouble- proof. This remarkable car is called a Cooperolet and is now the leading car in die low-priced field. Lebert Cooper was the inventor of this amazing machine and is president of its company. Lebert got his mechanical experience from die Jeep which he owned when he was a Senior. Following is a full page picture of a new skyscraper hotel which was dedicated to the interests of a well-rested American public yesterday. This ultra-modern structure is one of the many like it that Arnold Marks has added to his world-known chain of exquisite hotels and motor courts. Here is an editorial written by Ike Cowden, retired stock broker and president of the New York Stock Exchange. In it, Ike points out that the American people will have to save more and spend less to insure a continued prosperity in America. Ike always was an expert on money matters when he went to Eagle High School. Hmmmmm, what happened to Zanada Russell? Oh, yes, she's starring in a new fifty million dollar motion picture which will be released soon. She has already won five Academy Awards in her profitable career. Goodness, there goes the nine o'clock chime which means that in a few minutes the people will start coming in one by one to have their personalities examined by me, the foremost psychiatrist available. I always did wonder about the cause of personalities and why people have so much trouble with them. -----Bob Trezise Congratulations to Seniors of 1954 ROY and MAYME PEATE
