Larry Hollis ALL CONFERENCE HONORABLE MENTION Willie Cole ALL CONFERENCE Dyersbur Wins Homecoming Game Denny Permenter .ii Q Mr W Q. W? For the annual Homecoming Dyersburg played Somerville this year. The game began at a high note with a 3 yard scoring dash by Jeffries in the first quarter. In the second quarter Larry Hollis stormed over the goal line to in- crease the lead to 13-O. In the last minutes of the half, Jeffries broke around end for a 20 yard gain and a touchdown. The Trojans led at the half 19-0. At the end of the third quarter we led by a comfortable 32-0 margin. The game ended on the same note with which it began. Cole skirted around the end for his third touchdown ofthe evening which closed out the scoring. At the final gun the score read 38-0 Dyersburg's favor.

The Trojans, fell behind in the first quarter, but in the opening minutes of the second quarter, Jeffries powered through the line to tie the score at 7-7. The score stood at 14-14 as the teams went to the dressing room. During the third quarter, the Bears scored twice, making the score 28-14. Dyersburg Shocks Power ul Ripley In the first quarter Jeffries ran 70 yards for a touchdown making the score 6-0. In the second quarter Permenter made 50 yard pass completion to Swift who carried the ball in for the score. Swift intercepted a Tiger pass to make it 18-O. Willie Cole went over with seconds left to make the score 24-0 at the half. In the fourth quarter after a 60 yard drive Cole carried the ball on short yardage for a touchdown.
