Mr. lJeX'ere Mummcrt is the instructor in the agricultural department. He received his high school education at Astoria. He attended the University of lllinois where he received his l3.S. degree. He also attended the Lfniversity of Southern California. Mr. Mummert came to llwight from llardolph, Illinois. Mr. Gordon Losce is a new memher of the commercial department, beginning his work in Septemher. His high school education was received at Hehron. He received his B.S. degree at the Lniversity of Illinois. He taught in the Hehron Community High School during the school year of 1933-1934. Mr. XYilliam Myers is an instructor in the mathematics department. His high school education was received at Mt. Vernon and West Frankfort. He attended the Southern lllinois Normal University where he received a lilid. degree. He also attended the Uni- versity ol lllinois where he received his M.S. degree. He taught in the Vienna Township High School two years hefore coming to Dwight. Miss Margaret Huhlmard is the instructor of advanced mathematics. She receiyed her high school education at l'ana, lllinois. She graduated from Northwestern University with an All. degree. She has hecn teaching here since 1921. Miss lfulah Lynn has charge of the home economics department. Her high school education was received in Corydon, Kentucky. She received her AB. degree at Indiana University. She sponsors the Home lfconomics Cluh, Miss Lynn has taught here since 1921. Miss Cecelia Chewning is the art instructor. She received her instruction at St. Charles High School and at llelialh Normal. Her room has an. attractive display of the work of her pupils. She has heen teaching in the High School since 1929. One ofmthe instructors in the commercial department is Miss Edith Shakespeare. She received her high school education at Central City, lowa. Later she attended lllinois State Normal University and the University of XN'isconsin. Her work in Dwight High School hegan in 1929. Miss Mary Smith is the capahle and ohligiug office secretary, assuming this position in Septemher. She receixbed her education in the Dwight Township High School graduating in 1932. ' Miss Eunice Lovejoy is the instructor in the natural science department. She received her high school education in Ripon, VVisconsin. Her Ali. degree was received from Ripon College and her lXl.S. degree at the University ot' lowa. Miss Lovejoy has taught in Dwight since 1931. Page Eight

Mr. Brothers, our efficient principal, received his secondary education at the Davis High School. He attended the DeKalb Teachers' College and later Lake Forest College, where he received his A.B. degree. He received an MA. degree from Columbia University. Mr. Brothers was superintendent of the Dwight Schools from 1911 to the present time, principal of the Dwight Township High School from 1915-1935. During these years as producer and manager of the D. 'lf li. S. film, Mr. Brothers has been able to censor the comedies and tragedies of high school life, to reconstruct the broken reels and to photograph the lasting record of each boy and girl who ever entered the Dwight Schools. I Bottom R01z'fMiss Ednamae McClelland, Miss Helen Henry, Miss Marie Ilissell, Miss Dorothy XX nl Miss Gladys I'Ioffman. Mr. Maurice Graff is the instructor in the History Department. He has been very successful as a debate coach, creating much enthusiasm in this subject. He always knows when and where a joke is needed. He received his training in the Minier High School and graduated from Normal University and has been teaching in the Dwight High School for four years. Mr. Eugene Wallace is the manual training instructor and athletic director. He received his high school education at Sullivan, Illinois. In l920, he ente1'ed Millikin Uni- versity and in 1923, after discontinuing school for a year, entered Bradley Polytechnical Institute at Peoria. He accepted the position of coach at D.T,H.S. in 1930. He has won seventy-two percent of his games in his tive years of coaching in Dwight, which proves his fine ability as a coach. Mr. Jay Tweed is a new instructor in the science department. His high school edu- cation was received in Springfield, Missouri. He attended the Ifniversity of Michigan where he received his MS. degree. Before coming to Dwight he taught at Chisholm, Minnesotag Langmont, Colorado, and at Libertyville, Illinois. He is also the boys' physical education director. Miss Iildnamae McClelland is the instructor in foreign languages. She was graduated from Champaign High School. She attended the Illinois University receiving a I3.A. and M.A. degree. She is the sponsor of the Language Club and the Junior Class. Miss Helen Henry is an instructor in the English department, assuming this position this September. She received her high school education at Kendallville, Indiana. She attended the Ball State College at Muncie, Indiana, where she received her HS. degree. She is also the director of girls' physical education. Miss Marie Bissell is the Senior Class sponsor. She is also an instructor in the English department. She received her education in the Joliet High School and attended Lake Forest College where she received her A.I3. degree. She began her teaching in D.T.H.S. in 1921. Miss Dorothy VX'ard is the music teacher and sponsor of the Girls' and Boys' Glee Club. Her training was received at Normal Community High School and Illinois State Normal University. She has taught in Dwight for the past six years. Miss Gladys Hoffman is also an instructor in the English department. Her high school education was received at Tremont, She attended Illinois VX'esleyan University where she obtained her Ali. degree. She has charge of the annual junior and Senior plays. She has taught in Dwight since l930. Page Nine
