sk K In the upper right-hand picture we have the language section which is comprised of 1 Miss Gaylord, Miss Hoffman, Miss Bissell and Miss Wilson. Miss Alberta Gaylord, A. B., has taught French and Latin here in Dwight since 1930. She attended East Aurora High, and was gradu- ated from Knox College. Miss Hoffman, A.B., at- tended high school in Tre- mont, Illinois, and went to Illinois Wesleyan University, she attended summer school at the U. of Ill. and Ill. State Normal, and she attended the U. of Wis. for a P. G. course. She has taught English and Public Speaking in Dwight since 1930. Miss Marie Bissell, A.B., our busy Senior sponsor, graduated from high school in Joliet, Ill., and from Lake Forest University. P. G. work has been done by Miss Bissell at U. of Colorado and U. of Calif. She has taught in D.T.H.S. since 1921 and she has conducted our high school annual work since 1926 Miss Elizabeth Wilson, B.A., graduated from Lincoln HighiSchool in Webster City, she attended Grinnell College and Northwestern University and has done P k at the U. of Wis. Besides teaching English in our High School, Miss instructs the girls in Physical Education and sponsors the G.A.A. group in the lower picture is composed of Mr. Lyon, Miss Lynn, Miss and Mr. Adanjsb A.B., graduated from Carthage High School, Carthage, Ill., and College. Sgjinmer work was done by Mr. Lyon at the U. of Ill., U. Minn., P. Qiiwork at the U. of Ill. and Purdue University. He has and. physical education in Dwight since 1928. Eulah Lynn, attended Dixie High School, in Corydon, Kentucky. graduated the U. of Incl., and has done P.G. work at the U. of Wis. and the U. of Ind. Miss Lynn has taught home economics in our high school since 1921. Miss Eunice Lovejoy, M. S., B.A., who teaches general science and biology, attended Ripon High School in Wis., and Ripon College. Summer work was done by Miss Love- joy at Ripon College, and P. G. work at the U. of Iowa. Mr. Adams, B.S., gradu- ated from Moweaqua High School, Moweaqua, Ill., and from U. of Ill. f 1 M If M jf, ml yuh 'M-ill FACULTY lrkf In the mathematics and commercial department we find Miss McClelland, Miss Hubbard, Miss Shakespeare and Mr. McMillan. Miss Margaret Hubbard has been the efficient and thoroughly capable assistant principal of our high school since 1921, she teaches the ad- vanced mathematics as well as beginning geometry classes. She attended high school in Pana, Illinois, and received her A.B. degree from North- western University. Summer work was done at U. of Ill., and U. of Wis., post- graduate work at U. of Chicago. Miss Grace McClelland, A. B., M.A., received her high school work in Clinton Community High School, and obtained her A.B. and M.A. degrees from the U. of Ill. Miss Edith Shakepeare instructs the pupils of D.T.H.S. in shorthand and typing. She attended high school in Center City, Iowa, and college at Illinois State Normal University. Mr. T. H. HcMillan, A.B., attended W.I.S.T.C., transferring to U. of Ill., where he obtained his A.B. degree. Mr. McMillan is the very capable treasurer of the Student Council Fund, as well as teacher of bookkeeping and business arithmetic. In the lower picture reading from left to right, we have Mr. Graff, Miss Ward, and Coach Wallace. Miss Chewning, who teaches High School Art, should be included in this group, but she wasn't present when this picture was taken. Mr. Graff, B.Ed., is one of the new teachers who entered our faculty group last fall. His high school education was obtained in Minier Community High School and he graduated from Normal University, where his college education was obtained. Miss Ward graduated from Normal Community High School, going from there to Illinois Wesleyan College where she majored in music. She has caught here since 1930. Coach Wallace, who has trained our teams thoroughly in the art of clean sportsman- ship, has been with us since 12,30 He graduated from Sul- livan High School at Sullivan, Ill. He then attended Milli- ken University and Bradley Polytech, taking summer work at the latter from which school he obtained his B.S. degree. Page Tm
