One of the most interesting projects, and the most rewarding for the members, is the experience of practice teaching. Dur- ing April, Teaching Career Month, students observe or teach at either DuVal or a nearby elementary school. By raising money for Ship Hope and various nursing homes, the Health Careers Club interests students in both personal and community health. The scholarship fund also encourages members to find out what careers are offered and to help them decide wisely about health professions. The girls are in- formed by speakers, movies, and trips to area hospitals on the new developments in the field of medicine. me Health Careers Club Left lo right: Row 1,- Stephanie Shunney, Letha Mac Elwee, Marilyn Dennis Row 2g Martha Zitomer, Debbie Reiber, Kathy Spigler, Mrs. Vincent Row 3,' Debbie Gibbs, Gail Phillips, Mary Logan, Rita Chitwood, Barbara Baker.
