In ppreciation For Their Services Due to the devotion and dedication of Mrs. Grace Grant, Mr. john Seaton, and Mr. Edward Scott, who have been here since the opening of the school, DuVal Senior High School has prospered greatly. Since these three teachers are so much a part of DuVal, we hope, by dedicating the 1967 yearbook to them, we can show how much we have them at heart. Mrs. Grace Grant In Mrs. Grant's first year she co-sponsored the National Honor Society. She also has been head of the school supply store for a number of years. At present and as in the past, she has been head of the Math Department. Perhaps to us what is most important, she has been an excellent math teacher. Mr. John Seaton Mr. Seaton started at DuVal in the fall of 1960 when the school opened. He had a break of service for one year to do graduate work at Boston University. During the years he has been here at DuVal, he has been coach of the j.V. baseball team and Business Manager for ticlcet sales. The most im- portant to us Seniors, however, is that he is Chairman of the Senior Class sponsors. S C Mr. Edward Scott Over the years Mr. Scott has been sponsor of the Physics- Chemistry Club, coordinator of the DuVal Science Fair, and coordinator to the County Science Fair. He has been head of the Duval Science Department and is now head of the Physics- Chemistry and Audio Visual Departments. As Mr. Scott would say you can't get something for nothing, so get working!

The P.T.A.'is a very important function at DuVal High School. It provides a working coordination between the parents and the teachers. Helpful information is given to the students and their parents throughout the school year with their meetings. The parents have a splendid opportunity to meet the teachers on 'Back to School Night' and attend classes to a similar schedule as the students. The incoming sophomores learn about the school in the 'Feeder School Orientation' meeting. The P.T.A. provides facilities for the Senior, Junior and Spanish Club bake sales and the Home Economics Fashion Show.
