S FHQTWUR Class History N the year 1921 we entered the Dunsmuir High School as l+'reshies, thirty two strong, the largest class in the history of the school. The strength of our numbers gave the upper elassmen courage to infliet upon us a severe initiation. We all survived the ordeal and returned the compliment with a masquerade party, which was voted The party of the season. Several of our star members increased the fame of the basketball and baseball teams of '21 and are still distinguishing themselves at the end of this, their sophomore year. In September 1922 we began our Sophomore aetivities with the election of the following' elass offieers: President, ldrna H9g'g'lalldQ vice- president, .lean Bellg sec-retary-treasurer, Fay McConnell, class repre- seutative, Marjorie Young. Uur Valentine party, the first party to be given ill our new audi- torium, was certainly the sooial'eveut of the year. The decorations were in keeping with the season. Our toast master, Doe. Malone, gave all the upper olassmen an opportunity to distinguish themselves with their witty remarks. At the Hliurntwood Sweets we held two food sales which were a finaneial suceess, and we will enter our Junior year with money in our treasury. Our elass aetivities have not been c-onfined entirely to catering' to good daneers and to those who like good eats, as one of our members, Miss Marjorie Young, was awarded seeond plaee in the prize contest for orginial stories, which is to be found on the pages of this annual. As the year draws to a elose the green and white still wave and our mascot, the monkey, is olimbing' on to eelestial heights. Joy Dunn '25 Scvenleen
