Sponsored by GOODMAN'S Phone 36-R2 Franklin, Arizona SENIOR Wilma and Eugenia We, twenty-seven strong and very intelligent seniors, the mighty class of fifty-four, being about to pass over the threshold of dear old Duncan High, do make, publish and declare this to be our last will and testament, in manner and form as follows: Article I We direct that all students of D.H.S. do always remember and uphold the outstanding record we seniors have made. We give and bequeath to the junior class the remainder of our enormous fortune, $.01. To the underclassmen and future Wildkat teams, we leave our best regards and good luck, plus our intelligence and athletic ability. Article II To Mr. Clothier, we will a private eye to watch his typing, bookkeeping, art, and tennis classes which are the same period. To Mr. Lovett, we will a lie detector and a book entitled, “How to Please Them All.” To Shirley, we will Marlon Brando for a private secretary. To Coach Frealy, we will a Toni Home Permanent to charm the basket- ball team to victory. To Topper, we will a French chamber maid to clean up after him. To Mr. Santee, we will “Oscar,” a special robot, to take his place in the Driver Training car. To Mr. Foot, we will a gas mask to protect him from the terrible smells of the chemistry room. To Coach Miller, we will a bucket of ice water to cool him off when the football team makes an error. To Miss Henderson, we will a ticket on the slow boat to China to use when she gets fed up with next year's seniors. To Gene, we will our footprints, provided he imprints them in the sands of time. To Mrs. Van Gundy, we will the Pony Express to carry the typewriter back and forth. To Mr. Simons, we will a 600-acre farm complete with cows and pigs for use in his agriculture classes. To Mrs. Wilder, we will the Treasury Department to use in cooking the class of 1954 a going away banquet. Article III I, Martin Tellez, will my friendly ways to Nancy Henry. I, Donald Smallwood, will the words of “Hotrod Race” and my tall tales to Paul Francom.

He has lots of money and he lives like a king. He is also the leader of a tough smuggling ring. To college Carol Claridge went To try and catch some men. But try and try as she would, She still wishes she could! Eugenia Herrera, the strong-armed girl When she used to serve a ball, your toes would curl. Now she paints pictures of bouquets of roses. That’s why they call her Grandma Moses! Sposored by SEARS, ROEBUCK AND COMPANY 513 Main Street Safford. Arizona Billy Erwin Crolls. the prosperous one, Has him a wife, a little short one. His wife is coarse and rough and tan, From working in the fields for her old man. Raydene Hancheit, a character so cool, She was the artist in our dear old school. Now she paints pictures of bouquets of roses. That’s why they call her Grandma Moses! In Las Vegas in a great big bar, Stands Willie Davis, a great big star. He croons all day to the cigarette girls. He goes for that kind with the ribbons and curls. Down in the tropics, in the middle of the sea, Swings Manuel Garcia from tree to tree, He swings all day in the tropic sun. He doesn’t work hard, but he sure has fun! Here in Duncan laying bricks. Is Marvin Eldred with his children six. He works and works and never has any fun. And all he has to show for it is a bottle of rum. Rcnald Jacobson, one of our football stars, Comes out of the games all covered with scars. With all those scars you’d think he’d be sore. But he always seems to go back for more. Martin Tellez is on East Van Buren: His many gals have been his ruin. When he gets out, he wants to be a hermit. He’ll live far away on old Mt. Kermit. Sitting in a bar down Texas way, Is John Hamilton, he’s there to stay. He says to the bartender, “Fill er up. Bill, Or I’ll go home and start up my still.” Henry Brubaker's taking a real long trip, All because of a black and blue lip. Seems he want out with a cute girl one night. And her and her husband had a big fight. Hey, Shirley Mcsley, “How lucky can a girl get? ’ She bought a ticket and on her man she did bet. She placed it for win, and him she did snare. Now she tells this to her kids, in her ole rockin’ chair. Here’s Joe Baber, who loves “Widder Brown.” He’s the mayor of our little town. For traffic tickets he charges very large fines And on “pardons he shakes his head and declines. Now this is the tale, said and sore Of the Senior Class of '54. They were stinkers when they were here, But thoughts of them, we’ll always hold dear. Bob John

I, Willie Davis, will my cigars and my Joe Stalin jokes to Donna Allred. I, Raydene Hanchett, will my artistic ability to anyone in the junoir class who wants to make use of it. I, Erwin Crotts, will my athletic ability and bass saxophone to Peggy San- ders. I, Carol Claridge, will my ability to get out of class and my cymbals to Kay Rock. I, Henry Brubaker, will my football plays and my inherited intelligence to Larry Rapier. I, Joe Baber, will my secrets on how to be busted by a bronc to Bud Cox.
