ACTIVITIES STUDENT COUNCIL An institution that is truly representa me of our American way of life must have each segment of its structure form- ally represented. The Student Council, a democratic organization performs an im- portant scrvice in the school. It reviews the problems of fellow students and strives to offer intelligent solutions. At the same time the Council works directly with the faculty and administration for the betterment of prevailing conditions. These seniors have faithfully served in the building of a bigger and better Dun- bar. I x I x . is , sr. N i n A A A ALLIED YOUTH CLUB The Allied Youth Club, under the sponsorship of Mr. Watkins, is an organ- ization established to prove to the youth of Dunbar that life can be so enjoyable and constructive without using intoxi- cants. The annual agenda consists of sen- ior assembly programs, a trip to Buck Hill Falls, a bus excursion, awards and medals to members doing outstanding acts during the school year. Graduating officers are: Charles Mason, President and Hilda Six, Vice President. NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY This group is representative of the re- spect that society has for those who strive to succeed through hard work. While en- joying high school experiences to the ut- most, still they have not lost sight of the ultimate, academic achievement. The graduating members are: Shirley Perry, Elaine Douglas, Maudestine McLeod, Gloria Kilgore, Clarence Campbell, Ger- trude Cornish, and Mary Graves.
