Looking into the Future Agnos Robinson United together are the members of this June Class of '53, but as we depart here the world holds many possibilities and probabilities for us. Looking into the eye of the wise owl that has been with us for six years, l can see that the education depart- ment will add to its enrollment Pearl Chester, Alice Kirkland, Phyllis Blanks, Gloria Graham, Viola Johnson, Bernice Tubman, Lydia Grinage, Theresa Whitt, lrene Walker, and yours truly. These pros- pective teachers will help to train young Americans in becoming better citizens of tomorrow. Science will play an important part in the future, for in our laboratories men will be discovering and experimenting new inventions. Among them will be the Biological Chemists Charles Johnson and Her bert Morton Vivian Teal and Mignon Moses will assist them in the laboratory as technicians Have you s en the latest fashions Well Mary Wise and Hazel Faulkner will be designing the latest fashions for Pans and America Hattie Watkins will be their model We need well prepared meals and Shirley Quick the dietitian will please our appetite with her deli cious recipes Doctors and nurses are needed in this atomic age and some day you may walk into the office of Dr Gladys Summerville and Dr Gloria Kelly Percival Price Lettle Barnes Yvonne Waller Barbara Rice and Viola Brown will have their medical degree and will be the nurses of some large institution Physical Education plays a vital part in our daily lives and in the years to come Elnora Woody and Madeline Kane will instruct hugh school students to After you have passed away you can rest assured that our mortician Barbara Locks will let us rest in peace. Of course when you visit some business offices you will see Mary James, Addie Small, George Jackson, Leon Davenport, Margo Bryan, Velma Campbell, William Six, William Price and Wilbert Hilliard, busy typing.
