DEDICATION The l990-9l Western Pacific Deployment Cruise Book is dedicated to two groups. First, to those of you who make up the crew of the Navy's finest. Second, to all the men and women, past and present, who have served in the Armed Forces. It is because of you that many Americans have taken for granted the defense of freedom. Today there are many people all over the world who have never experienced true freedom. we have taken on a great responsibility and made extreme sacrifices to show that we are willing to help, and that they may rely on us in time of crisis. You of DULUTH are an exceptional group of men. Not only willing to serve your country, but to do so with pride, enthusiasm and an unparalleled degree of professionalism.
