Viking Mascot Eric, the Red Hello, I'm Eric the Red and to all you Vikings I extend my congratulations on your many accomplishments this year! Since Homecoming, Nov. 15, when I first be- came a part of the Dulles Viking clan, the Viking football went to the State Finals, the basketball team rated high in district, many students achieved outstand- ing scholastic ratings, Dulles teams and individuals have shown the Vikings to be champions in many inter- scholastic league athletic and literary contests, the FFA, Industrial Arts Club, Band and other student or- ganizations have scored high in their competitive con- tests. This is the year we wore out the Victory Flag. Why, it was because of this Viking spirit that I ever came to Dulles in the first placel The Vikings stirred up a whirlwirid of school spirit that blew through their hearts and pocketbooks to collect the funds neces- sary to purchase a nine-foot high fiberglass mascot-- that's mel I am an ex- ample--a symbol--of what can be accomplished through the tremendous spirit of the Vikings and I shall be proud to stand in the doorway of Dulles High School as an honorary repre- sentative of that spirit!
