The team worked to its potential, never giving up and always looking at the successes. Tney were the best and I, for one, was very proud. DUBOIS SPIKERS The 1978 Volleyball season was outstanding, and the pretournament season ended with a 14-3 winning record. By defeating Pinedale, Big Piney, and Lyman, Dubois took Regional Championship for the first time in school nistory. A loyal and enthusiastic crowd was there when Dubois met Pine Bluffs for State Championship. Despite a furious comeback rally and the unswerving support of the audience, the match was lost in an overtime. Though the disappointment was keen in everyone, no one could deny that our girls, by their good sportsmanship, spirit, and drive, were, and still are, true champions. Most games were close except for a bad Quarter or part of a quarter.
