CLASS PROPHECY lI949j One Wednesday mght after diligently re viewing the subjects covered by the past years currlculum I was sitting ln medxtatlon when I was startled from my reverre by the appearance of a handsome gentleman who apparently was of great age and yet I received an lmpresslou of agelessness Introducing himself as the f turtsuc interpreter he mvtted me to accompany htm to a prevlew of the future He then waved hrs arms ln a complicated fashlon and a hell copter which had been hovering overhead gent ly settled to a landing on my lawn We stepped aboard and as my companion threw a number of switches were whisked away gaining altitude at an enormous rate Slowly the world assumed the shape of a globe as we proceeded farther toward an object ln the sky which the interpreter mformed me was the celestlal Mount Olympus After an hours journey we accomplished a feather light landing in a vast amphrtheater Followmg our arrival seats tn the bulldlng began filling w1th ghosts of the past and a huge projector was wheeled 1n at one end of the enclosure I was mformed that this instrument was capable of projecting the future by a complicated employment of the twelfth dlmenslon The audience became hushed and hummmg nolse filled the air as the projector began drawmg energy from Oak Ridge by an atomrc beam A procession of events began marchmg across the screen and were alternately cheered and booed by the audtence Imagine my surprise when I recognized Dora Baker elbowmg her way through a subway crowd hurrymg to a small office xn New York where she pursues a lxvelx hood as file clerk in a theatrical bookmg agency! Who IS that hanging on her arm?
