FCREWCRD We, the Class of 1962, have tried to create in this, our Draperian, a lasting memory of four years at Draper High School. We entered Draper at a time when the world was recovering from the devastation of a great war. After a short lapse of time, our country was again involved in a war of conflicting ideologies. We were too young to realize the effects these two wars would have upon our lives. During our years at Draper we have been taught the causes and results of past wars in the hope that we can prevent a repeti- tion of history's darkest hours. y Our country is presently involved in a cold war, a war of propaganda and tension. We read and hear about new crises almost daily. During this cold war We have entered a new era, the Space Age. In this age we will graduate. We will become contributing members of a society vitally concerned with its position in space exploration. This era will affect our future and that of all who will come after us. Therefore, we must direct our efforts to meet successfully the challenge of the Space Age.
