PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE In a world full of change which finds our nation moving rapidly from a steel age to a machine age to an atomic age to a space age, I would urge you to hold fast to those tenets and landmarks which sym- bolize America. I trust that each of you will continue to grow in stature and in breadth of vision as products, of our schools, especially Draper. In your nostalgic moments, I trust you will be able to relive the happy years spent with the companion- ship of school friends and teachers at Draper. ,WML SUPERINTENDENTS MESSAGE May I extend my heartiest congratulations to the Class of 1962. You have worked hard to reach this won- derful milestone in your lives and we are happy that we have had some part in your achievement. Your work now is cut out for you. Some of you will seek immediate employment. Many of you will continue your formal education. Others, I am sure, will marry and settle down to a happy domestic life. Wflmichever choice is yours, be conscientious and sincere in your efforts. Do your utmost to reflect pride in yourselves, in Draper, and in your community. We hope sincerely that years from now you will reflect on your brief stay at Draper with a deep sense of satisfaction and a warm glow of affection. M

,fun GUIDANC 'bw new In humility and soberness we acknowledge to all that you the Class of 1962 have fulfilled the academic requirements of Draper High and that you are now venturing into another phase of a very interesting life. What you say or do, the manner of life you live will either directly or indirectly have a bearing on your past acquaintances here at Draper. We hope that the very seat of learning, heart not head, shall be such that your future endeavors will give credit to your school your parents, and to God. Mr. Walter Plath Guidance Counselor - 53214 My best wishes go to the Class of 1962 as you graduate from Draper High School. May you be blest with the best of everything-good health, good friends, success and most of all the desire to do something constructive and worthwhile. As the theme of your yearbook indicates this is the space age. So hitch your wagon to a star! Get all the education and training you can so that when opportunity comes you will be prepared to take advantage of it. The State University has a wonderful slogan: Let Each Become All He .Is Capable of Being. Draper has given you a good basic background on which to build.
