Dedication To Mr. Ernest Her, our Superintendent and helping friend, we, the class of 1924, do respectfully dedicate this volume of The Cauldron. Mr. Her. the Superintendent of Schools and the Principal of the high school of Downers Grove, received his B. S. degree from the University of Chicago and was a graduate of the School of Education of that University in 1914. Mr. Her holds the First Grade State Life Certificate of both Iowa and Wisconsin, and the State Supervisory certificate from Illinois. Mr. Her has had seventeen years’ experience as prin- cipal of high schools and superintendent of schools of Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois. 1 his experience has been shown in his excellent management of the local schools and it is especially noticeable in the fine work he has done in the upbuilding of Downers Grove High School. We are fortunate in having him as our superinten- dent and principal.
