For Girls ' Soccer McConnell, Dallalah Most Valuable The girls’ varsity soccer team, in only their second season of competition, had a difficult time this year. Even with all the goals made by Sue Dallalah, the leading scorer, and all the opposing attempts Vickie Robinson stopped, the team could not get ahead. The most valuable players were Sue Dallalah and Cindy McConnell, and the most improved players were Colleen Flaherty and Colleen O’Rourke. The team’s schedule for the 1984 season included games against six of the top ten teams in the state. To make matters worse some of the key players were injured early in the season and desperately missed by the rest of the team. Despite the disappointing record the leadership and spirit of Barbara Cloughley, Vickie Robinson, and Carolyn Malloy kept the team’s hopes high throughout the entire season.
