X-1 x 3- l .ix x.. ....,A- Fill This ye-ar's annual Dover- New Philadelphia football game was one of the most ex- citing games ever played in the history of the competition. The student enthusiasm, stimulated by the anxious anticipation of the outcome of the game, pro- vided an exciting atmosphere. The festivities started with the annual bonfire held at Crater Stadium on the night before the game. Through the efforts ofa Student Council committee, a large, roaring fire highlighted the activities. At the game several Dover High students correctly prophe- cied the outcome of the compe- tition when they conducted a funeral procession for the New Philadelphia Quakers. Other sideline events included much cheering and shouting to sup- port the Dover team. When the final second of the game ticked away, the Quakers truly had been buried with a score of 36-O.
