As head coach Jim Cluck leaves Dover High, he leaves behind him the best record ever set by a coach in basketball at Dover and possibly in Delaware. In 1962 his basketeers put before the state’s schools the best record of any this season. The Senators posted an impressive record of 17 wins and 1 loss. The only loss was delivered by a scrappy Seaford five. Such standouts as Bob Reed (captain), Rod Thompson, Bob Sylvester, and Dave Jamison sparked the Senator 62 SENATORS BEST IN DOVER HISTORY Rod Thompson jumps high over Seaford’s John Temple in the opening tap-off before an over-flow crowd at Seaford.
