Fairy tales can come true; it can happen to you, if you're young at heart — THE 1961 SENIORS PRESENT FAIRYDOM The Eagle JACK AND JILL Jack and Jill went up the hill To fetch a pail of water; Jack fell down and broke his crown. And Jill came tumbling after. -Mother Goose Principal’s Message imagined. The sun was very low when he approached the house and the windows were not made of gold, but ordinary glass. A whole day's journey for nothing! The little boy started home disappointed, but as he covered that the windows of his own home were as golden as he had expected to find in the other house, The little boy had lived in a house with golden windows all this time but could not see them. It is wonderful to live in a dreamland and imagine that out somewhere we see a golden fairyland. But we must discover, as the little boy discovered, that the answers to our problems do not lie in far away GOLDEN WINDOWS Once a little boy lived comfortably in a house on top of a hill. He worked all day and didn't have much time to play. But when evening came and his work was through, he would sit down to gaze at an- other house on an opposite hill. The little boy could see, every evening as the sun was setting, all the windows were turned to gold in this beautiful house. How nice it would be to live in a house with golden windows, he would often sigh. One day the little boy was given the day off and he immediately decided that he was going to see the golden windows. Very early he set off to find the house but the journey was much longer than he had looked across the valley to a familiar house he dis- places but in the golden windows of our own homes. HORSE SENSE A horse can't pull while kicking. This fact 1 merely mention. And he can't kick while pulling Which is my chief contention. Let’s imitate the good old horse And lead a life that's fitting: Just pull an honest load, and then There'll be no time for kicking. —Unknown LOYD BERRY, PRINCIPAL CHARLES AMASON MISS GRACE SCRUGGS Social Studies Mathematics.
