Following Their own previously-seT rule oT ouTsTanding assemblies, The class of '43 This year presenTed an original sl4iT porTraying members oT The class oT '42 Ten years Trom now. WiTh Bill Loraclq as announcer, porTrayaIs of Tarzan, a maior, a lazy sTreeT sweeper, The gay divorcee, eTc. made a hilarious and sensaTional assembly. This slciT was presenTed on March 6. The ring-Toss booTh aT The l-li-Jinx carnival, sponsored by The iuniors and under l.urline Gray, proved To be a mosT popular booTh. ConTeTTi, which was given To each cusTomer To guaranTee a prize Tor everyone, soon gaily decoraTed The gym Tloor and lasses' hair. AddiTional prizes Tor luclc Tossers were oTher Teasers, approximaTely Ten dollars proTiT was made. Two dances, oTher Than The prom, were given by The iunior class: one, a baslceTball dance on December 6, and The oTher a Ten-cenT dance on April I7. These were boTh held To earn Tunds To pay Tor The prom, which was given The lasT monTh oT school in honor oT The graduaTing seniors. The iunior class had many ouTsTanding sTudenTs on iTs rosTer, who were acTive in any school club you could name. Jack Ramsay was elecTed an aT! AThleTics seemed To be a good Tield Tor The class oT '43, as many from ThaT class gained noTe in DI-TS Tor Their acTiviTy. Tony Morales especially carried oTT The honors, in all Tour sporTsg he was also chosen on The all-sTaTe baslceTball Team aTTer being chosen co-capTain on The conTerence TirsT Team.
