These were the days that We slept late, earned money, and had fun. It was our endless summer. We all engaged in the tradi- tional pastimes of summer. The girls, and even some of the guys, spent hours in the sun, desperately trying to get a tan. Of course, we all got at least one severe sunburn and suf- fered through days of pain and peeling skin. But We didn't all stay at home. Some of us got a chance to travel. Hawaii, Florida, and many other parts of the United States were visited by DCHS students. There were also those who got the opportunity to go to other countries and fill their minds with beautiful scenes and exotic cultures. Although we all had fun this summer, there were also other less exciting things to do. Many of us found it necessary to find either a part-time or full-time job. These jobs ranged from work at McDonald's to sales po- sitions in local stores or even working at a lifetime career. The summer weather this year was anything but normal. Instead of miserably hot days and sultry nights, we suffered through much rain and cold weather. And as a result Cand this may be an omen to gradu- ating seniorsl there were only three rainless days.
