Student Council Improves Image Two Student Councils acted as one during the first semester at DCHS. There were two sets of offi- cers for the sophomore and junior classes, one to stay at DCHS, and one to go to Ponderosa. It was not easy filling two sets of officers, espe- cially for the junior class at DCHS. Five members were appointed to the junior class council at DCHS by junior class president, Eric Christen- sen. Sponsor John Smerjac was pleased with the groups enthusiasm this year. According to Mr. Smerjac, this year's council was much more or- ganized and enthusiastic. He also commented, John Simbeck's done an excellent job. The administration was very co- operative with the council. Simbeck explained, Mr, Bradley and the whole administration have been ex- tremely helpful, along with Ms. Resling and Mr. Voorhiesf' He also said Student Council's goal this year was to do as much as we could to represent students and plan activi- ties. 0 68 Activities
